Our view

“The Indigo Spell” mixes vampires, witchcraft and first love into a third “Bloodlines” novel that is funny and moving by turns. Some readers come away from its ending shaken and impatient for the next volume, “The Fiery Heart”. Others feel that by this point the series has wandered from the task it set itself in the first book.
