Our view
“Shadow’s Edge” is the Night Angel trilogy hitting its stride: faster, darker and more sure of itself than the opening volume. Assassins and magic remain the core, but political intrigue and armies on the move widen the canvas in the second half. It reads as a direct continuation, not a self-contained sequel, and some readers find the many new characters and the constant switching between them disorienting.
