Our view
“Scorpia” is the Alex Rider novel that turns personal, as what Alex is told about his father draws him toward the very enemy he usually fights. Anthony Horowitz gives him an organisation with real menace and lets the boy behind the spy show at last. Some readers rank it the best of the series while noting that the usual formula is intact. Some also caution that it may be too violent for the youngest.
