Our view
“Point Blanc” is a confident second Alex Rider adventure that brings the pleasures of a Bond story down to a teenager’s scale. Anthony Horowitz’s best idea is that a spy of that age cannot pose as an adult expert, so Alex has to improvise his way out of trouble. Some readers note that the ending leaves a thread hanging and recommend keeping the third book close.
