Our view
“Rule of Wolves” is a crowded, war-driven finale that depends on affection for characters built up across the whole Grishaverse. Told through five viewpoints, from Nikolai and Zoya to the Darkling, it gives long-time readers plenty of time with a cast they love, though some come away less than thrilled by the ending. At well over six hundred pages, it is no place to begin; read “King of Scars” first.
