Our view
“One for the Money” is a light, funny crime novel that readers pick up for the laughs and finish quickly. It introduces Stephanie Plum, who becomes a bounty hunter although everyone she knows tells her not to, and it asks very little concentration in return for its good humour. As the opening of a long series, it is ideal between heavier books, with plenty more to follow if it clicks.
