Our view
“Nothing to Lose” is Jack Reacher as his followers expect him: one stubborn drifter taking apart whatever a small town is hiding. The setting recalls the series’ beginnings, which some readers welcome. Others feel he is never in real danger from opponents he so plainly outclasses, or find the driving to and fro between the same few places repetitive. A dependable twelfth volume for those who want exactly that.
