Our view

“Library of Souls” is the dark, adventurous third volume of the Miss Peregrine series, written for readers who already know its characters. Some stall on a slow stretch along the way, then read on eagerly to the close and feel the ending outweighs their earlier reservations. Time travel and a quest shape the plot. Not a book to pick up without the first two.
