Our view
“Hounded” opens “The Iron Druid Chronicles” fast and funny, carried by its ancient Druid’s charm and by Oberon, a wolfhound who answers back. Gods, witches, werewolves and vampires all crowd into the plot, a mix of mythologies that some readers find a jumble. Anyone who knows the wisecracking heroes of other urban fantasy may feel they have been here before; newcomers to the genre get an easy start.
