Our view
“First Lord’s Fury” closes “The Codex Alera” with an ending readers call satisfying. The main storyline is tied off cleanly, with a little room left should the author ever return to this world. Some readers feel the middle slows before the conclusion arrives. As the sixth and last volume it only makes sense after the other five, and it gives that long investment a proper send-off.
