Our view
“Binti: Home” is a brief middle chapter that fits a good deal of character into under two hundred pages. Questions of identity, belonging and what it costs to leave home for an education drive it more than space adventure does, which makes it a natural choice for younger science fiction readers. Some wish it were longer and feel the ending arrives too fast; it needs the first novella before it and the third after.
