Our view
Chinese folktales are woven into a young girl’s quest in “Where the Mountain Meets the Moon”, a luminous, warm-hearted fantasy. Minli sets out from her poor mountain village to turn her family’s luck around, and the tales her father told her help her along the way. Some readers share it aloud as a family, and others single out Minli’s friendship with a dragon. Grace Lin illustrated it herself, and it suits readers of any age.
