About the book

While it does start off a bit slow the pace and gothic atmosphere really picks up the pace and I found myself addicted to knowing what will happen next. “I read a few reviews where people struggled getting into this one early on, and I gotta say, I did NOT have that issue. I was invested in this book from the first page to the last, reading it on the train to and from work, on my phone walking down the sidewalk, on my lunch break. The prose was really beautiful and I highlighted so many passages in this book, but for me it never felt like it dragged either.
