Our view

“The Warrior Prophet” is a dark, ambitious second volume of “The Prince of Nothing”, built on the world of “The Darkness That Comes Before”. R. Scott Bakker writes in an ornate style that some readers find beautiful rather than heavy, and they credit his characters with real depth and realism. Its focus on war and its very dark content will not suit every reader.
