Our view
Camilla Läckberg’s debut, “The Ice Princess”, begins her Fjällbacka series with two leads who are ordinary, believable people. Writer Erica Falck and detective Patrik Hedström look into a suicide that raises suspicions. Some readers find it competent but close to the pattern of other Scandinavian crime fiction; the mystery and the pair’s romance do not convince everyone.
