Our view
“The Hollow” is a Hercule Poirot mystery strong on atmosphere, with an ending that some readers find deeply moving. Others regret how little Poirot is seen and how little detecting there is, and some guess the culprit before the reveal. As comfortable, familiar Christie, it also bears rereading.
