Our view
“The Android’s Dream” is a comic space caper about interstellar diplomacy that turns on finding one very rare sheep. Readers come to it for Scalzi’s humour and mostly get what they wanted: quick, clever, inventive fun. Some feel the story pulls in too many directions at once, and some who know his other work find little here that is new. A good palate-cleanser between heavier books, especially for those who already like the author.
