Our view

“Streams of Silver” is a brisk, good-natured quest fantasy carried by a band of friends. The second book of the “Icewind Dale” trilogy sends them to reclaim Mithral Hall while an assassin hunts one of them. Some readers call it the best of the series, others plain fun without much that is new, and some feel the prejudice Drizzt meets is slightly overdone. Its lesson about judging people by their deeds fits young readers well.
