Our view

“N or M?” is worth reading above all for Tommy and Tuppence, whose sparring, affectionate marriage gives this Second World War spy story its warmth. In the third book of their series the couple go after an enemy agent, and their banter keeps the chapters lively. Some readers find the plot the weakest part, cosier than it is thrilling. Anyone who comes to Christie for character and wit will be well served.
