Our view

“Homeland” is an idealistic sequel to “Little Brother”, a conspiracy thriller some readers wish they had been handed as teenagers. Marcus and his friends return, marked by what they went through, to a fresh set of problems. Some find the storyline tighter than before; others miss the first book’s depth and sense of threat, and some are frustrated that hero and antagonist never truly confront each other. Read “Little Brother” first.
