Our view
An erotic romance built around one relationship, with explicit scenes of dominance and submission, and best read by those who want exactly that. Readers who pick it up only to have an opinion in the debate may find it middling for long stretches and be put off by the ending. At 544 pages, it is a long book to read out of curiosity alone.
