Our view
“Elon Musk” is an authorised biography that credits its subject’s strengths and names his many faults with equal directness. Walter Isaacson, who has written lives of Steve Jobs and Einstein among others, is most useful to readers who want to understand what drives Musk. Some readers feel he is somewhat too respectful of established media and too quick to dismiss Musk’s complaints about them.
