Our view

“Eclipse” gives the series more plot than before: a string of vampire attacks in Seattle runs beneath the love triangle, and it goes down as easily as its predecessors. Some readers find Jacob’s pressure on Bella manipulative, and others miss real suspense in the threat from outside. For readers already invested in Bella’s choice between two lives.
