Our view

“Bloodmarked” is a twist-filled second volume of “The Legendborn Cycle”, in which Bree and her friends set out to find and free Nick. Readers who love it praise the prose and a romance they find stronger than in “Legendborn”, and Sel remains a favourite. Some find the recurring descriptions of smells and tastes odd. It runs past six hundred pages and picks up a month after the first book ends.
