“Such an amazing read! Love the Absolute Universe so far (even though it’s pretty brutal sometimes) and really enjoyed the take with Batman here. Making him a working-class engineer who grew up with his main-line continuity rogues is just chef’s kiss. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants to read some Batman comics but also just be aware of how graphic it can become. ”

After reading Absolute Superman, Vol. 1, this felt way stronger overall. It’s a new take on Batman, but still manages to keep him as cool as ever, which honestly feels impossible to mess up. This is exactly the kind of Batman story I love: bold, fresh, and unafraid to rethink the mythos, much like Telltale’s Batman. Stripping Bruce of his money simply highlights what makes him compelling to me: his intelligence, resourcefulness, and intense obsession. I can’t wait to read more in this universe.”
