Our view

“Akata Warrior” is a lively, fast-moving sequel that weaves several storylines into a satisfying second adventure for Sunny. Nnedi Okorafor assumes readers know the world from “Akata Witch”, offering brief reminders rather than long explanations. Readers who want a magic system explained in detail may find this one thin. Some enjoy it even more than the first book.
