“The Land of Stories: A Grimm Warning” is one of the liveliest volumes of Chris Colfer’s series, with war breaking out across the fairy-tale world. Conner goes back into that world while his twin Alex trains for the role of Fairy Godmother. Some readers enjoy Conner’s humour and his growing maturity; some also find it easier going than the second book, despite an exasperating cliffhanger. It needs the first two volumes behind it.
