E. Lockhart

E. Lockhart — one title in the rankings. One series has a reading order worth keeping to.

Editor’s note American young adult writer. We Were Liars, her most read book and a recent television series, follows Cadence, the eldest grandchild of a wealthy, polished family that spends every summer on its private island, as she tries to remember what happened during the summer of her accident. It is built around a famous twist that some readers love and others feel cheated by, and its score is low for such a popular book. A prequel and a sequel return to the island.
