篇幅短、節奏快，全靠敘事者撐起來：一具擺脫了程式控制的保全生化人，比起和人打交道，它寧可躲起來看連續劇。它面對自己保護的人類時那份彆扭，既是笑點，也是故事的核心，對這種感受有共鳴的讀者會特別喜歡。不過也有人認為，受限於篇幅，人類角色刻畫得單薄，結局的力道也因此弱了一些。
值得一提 這是一部不到兩百頁的中篇，2017 年由 Tor.com 出版，囊括雨果獎、星雲獎與軌跡獎。敘事者是一個駭進自己控制模組的保全單元，自稱「殺人機器人」(Murderbot)，寧可看連續劇也不想跟人類打交道。前幾集篇幅都很短，很容易試讀。Apple TV+ 在 2025 年將它改編成影集，由亞歷山大．史柯斯嘉主演。

關於本書
All Systems Red is a 2017 science fiction novella by American author Martha Wells. The first in the Murderbot Diaries series, it was published by Tor.com. The series is about a cyborg designed to protect humans on a research mission. The cyborg narrates the story and calls itself "Murderbot". It has developed independence from its original programming by overriding its "governor module" and prefers watching soap operas over its security function. As it spends more time with some caring humans, it starts developing emotions that make it feel uncomfortable.
