- An authorised trilogy written after Isaac Asimov’s death by three science fiction writers who knew his work well, Gregory Benford, Greg Bear and David Brin.
- Set during the lifetime of Hari Seldon, the founder of psychohistory, it fills the gap before Foundation and ties together Asimov’s robot, Empire and Foundation stories.
- Foundation and Chaos, Bear’s middle book, is the one with enough ratings.
- For readers who already know Asimov’s series; read in order.
