- Four books in order — Ethan narrates the first three and the fourth switches to Lena, which only works if you have read what happens to him.
- They were written for the Twilight audience and published a year apart each, so the pacing assumes you remember; read them close together.
- The 2013 film adapts the first book, changes the ending, and did badly enough that the rest were never filmed, which is why the series stops there on screen and not on the page.
