“The Man Who Died Twice” brings back the Thursday Murder Club and keeps what made the first book work. Its unlikely amateur detectives are good company, which is the real pleasure. The mystery is fair, in that an attentive reader can work it out, and the tone stays warm and funny throughout. Some find parts of the plot hard to believe, and not everyone rates it as highly as its predecessor. Easy, good-natured crime fiction.

The Man Who Died Twice is a murder mystery written by the British comedian and presenter Richard Osman. It is the sequel to The Thursday Murder Club and was published by Penguin Random House's Viking Press in September 2021 and as an audiobook, read by Lesley Manville, in November 2021.
