“Cozy mystery meets POV main character who maybe is / maybe isn’t on the spectrum, meets Best Exotic Marigold Hotel vibes. It works enough that I enjoyed myself and finished it in 24 hours. But maybe didn’t work so well that I want to read the sequels. I’m not sure if it’s just not my thing or if the main character’s characterization is a tad wobbly. If you’re intrigued by it, go for it. But I’ll not insist that “you’ll love it for or else you’re a Philistine”.”
