“Say You’ll Remember Me” is a traditional romantic comedy that warms without turning syrupy, built on a perfect date with terrible timing. Its strength is restraint: the leads read as real people, and the plot steers around the genre’s more grating conventions. Some readers need a couple of dozen pages to settle in, and some would not call it literary. Its pleasure is the point: feeling and jokes in equal measure.
