Our view

A romance between the American president’s son and a British prince, played for warmth and optimism rather than realism. Its strength is the central couple: two leads with clearly separate personalities and arcs that go somewhere. The obstacles never become serious, so over nearly 450 pages some readers find the sweetness wearing thin. Best for those who want comfort and a good mood.
