Our view
“Our Town” is a short, luminous play that gives birth, marriage and death in a small American town their full weight. Thornton Wilder follows Emily Webb through days she barely notices until death makes her look at them again. Some readers suggest it means more to adults than to younger readers who meet it as an assignment.
