Our view
“Next” is less a single thriller than a satire in many strands about what happens when biotech research meets corporate greed and the courts. Some readers find it eye-opening on the risks and the legal tangle of genetic testing; some find that its speed is its only real virtue. Best for those who want ideas at a brisk pace more than one hero to follow.
