Our view
“Many Waters” at last gives the Murry twins a book of their own: a gentle time-travel story set among Noah’s family before the Flood. Some readers find that its religion belongs to the story without turning into a sermon, and place the book halfway between children’s and adult fiction. Unicorns, seraphim and nephilim cross the path of the two most ordinary Murrys.

About the book
Many Waters is a 1986 novel by American author Madeleine L'Engle, part of the author's Time Quintet. The title is taken from the Song of Solomon 8:7: "Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it. If a man were to give all his wealth for love, it would be utterly scorned."
