Our view
“Julie Chan Is Dead” builds a dark, tense story on a wicked premise: a woman with nothing steps into the life of her dead, wildly successful twin. Some readers find the narrator grating and the world of influencers tiresome, and come close to quitting before the story wins them back.
The view of the BookRank editors, written from readers’ ratings and comments. It does not affect the score or the book’s place in a ranking.
About the book
Julie Chan has nothing. Her identical twin sister Chloe has everything – except a pulse. Julie's story of stealing her wildly successful twin's life is a thrilling, horrifying, gloriously fun, edge-of-your-seat read. Perfect for lovers of Death of a Bookseller, Yellowface and Yellowjackets
