Our view
“Iron Kissed” is the third Mercy Thompson novel, a murder mystery among the fae that also settles which of two werewolves she will choose. Its last quarter turns much heavier, with a sexual assault that many readers find hard to bear; some think the aftermath is poorly handled, while others still rate this the strongest volume so far. Not for anyone avoiding that subject.
