Editor’s note The second Empyrean book came out on 7 November 2023, barely six months after Fourth Wing, and its special edition with sprayed edges sold out almost at once. It picks up immediately after Fourth Wing’s ending and is longer and more focused on the war than the first book. Onyx Storm (2025) continues the story.
