Our view
“Duma Key” is a Stephen King horror novel that puts its characters first and its scares late. Some readers praise how the people are handled and find the book creepy, though a few find the greater part of its nearly seven hundred pages very slow, with the last third making up for it. The right book for those who enjoy King’s company as much as his frights.
