Our view

“‘B’ Is for Burglar”, Sue Grafton’s second Kinsey Millhone mystery, is a tense, well-plotted missing-person case. Some readers who were lukewarm about the first book find this one a clear improvement. Others find the early chapters slow and heavy on description, and the second half much quicker. Fans of classic clue-and-suspect puzzles will find plenty to work on.
