Our view

Hamilton’s “A Quantum Murder” is an adventurous, mysterious blend of murder investigation and science fiction, the second of three Greg Mandel novels. Some readers find the science fiction too thin to carry the mystery, the source of Mandel’s special ability too close to magic, and object to how its women are written. It reads best after the first book in the trilogy.
