Marcus Kliewer

Marcus Kliewer — 2 titles in the rankings, first published between 2024 and 2026. They average 7.5, below the 7.8 the whole catalogue averages.

Editor’s note Canadian horror writer whose debut, We Used to Live Here, is a slow-tightening tale of domestic dread. Charlie and Eve, a couple renovating an old house they bought cheaply, let a family who once lived there come in for a quick look; the visit stretches on, small details stop adding up, and Charlie can no longer trust what she sees or remembers. Unsettling and built on unanswered questions, which some readers love and others find frustrating; its score is moderate. His second novel, The Caretaker, is newer.
