The book was published on 23 October 2025 by David Fickling Books in association with Penguin Random House and Alfred A. Knopf. The Rose Field is set directly after The Secret Commonwealth, published in 2019.

“Narration 10 out of 10 Michael Sheen knocks it out of the park absolutely no way this could be improved in any possible way. The stories ending leaves me unsatisfied feels incomplete and leaves many open threads that are not even explored and questions not answered..
