這是整個系列真正漸入佳境的一集：Feyre 與 Rhysand 之間的鬥嘴最有看頭，小說也認真面對第一集留下的創傷，包括揮之不去的惡夢。驚喜、宮廷權謀與愛情一應俱全，但七百多頁的篇幅需要耐力，而且必須先讀過前作。最適合既看情節、也看重角色與對話的浪漫奇幻讀者。
