“The first four chapters reading there is something off about the writing that I couldn't shake. The world building is very detailed and comprehensive, there's a lot of detailed descriptions that are unnecessary to the plot, the different shifts in perspective, the exaggerated reactions to seemingly mundane events or stimulus, and a few others that had me feeling the writing is a bit off.
