“VERY good but VERY long. This felt like a duet made into a standalone There was nothing that needed to be cut - no filler or fluffy parts, absolutely everything was relevant, just a very long story. This was so incredibly fun and interesting!! I loved the arranged marriage to the sort of enemy, and the magic paranormal elements Great banter, and the claiming???? A touch of vampires if you will. “Conflicted on rating this book. While I enjoyed the overall story and plot, it felt like the ending had 10 different twists jammed together. I believe the book would’ve benefitted from sprinkling twists throughout the 2nd half to give more breathing room. Additionally I was annoyed that the author tended to repeat statements from previous chapters. It is a big pet peeve of mine when authors feel the need to recap events from earlier books in a series (small recap is fine but usually I don’t need a reminder). Recapping info introduced 5-10 chapters ago felt redundant since this is a standalon…”
