  “I love Abby’s books and her stories are so filled with love that it makes it so hard to put them down! The Night We Met employs the ‘falling in love with someone you shouldn’t fall in love with’ trope, one I find quite difficult to navigate given how socially damning forbidden love can be. Jiminez mentions that this book was quite difficult for her to write and it took her over two years to work on it. I loved Chris’ character study despite his major flaw of being an enabler.
